1997 Formula 1 World Champion, Jacques Villeneuve

Jacques Villeneuve is one of only three drivers in history to win the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship, the CART Championship and the Indianapolis 500. He remains the only Canadian to win the Indianapolis 500 and the Formula 1 World Championship. 2017 sees Villeneuve celebrate 20 years since winning his Formula 1 World Championship with Williams F1. You’ll be able to see him on the Autosport Stage and F1 Racing stage talking about his illustrious career on Sunday 15th January.

Dario Franchitti

Four-time IndyCar Series champion and three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, Dario Franchitti MBE, has joined the line-up for Autosport International 2017. The British racer, who was also the winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award in 1992, will be attending the show in Birmingham on Saturday 14th January.

Lance Stroll

Rookie F1 driver and Williams rising star Lance Stroll will be debuting at the show on Saturday 14th January. Stroll joins the team after Felipe Massa announced his retirement from Formula 1 at the end of the 2016 season. He comes off the back of a championship winning year being crowned Formula 3 Champion in 2016 winning 14 of the 30 races. Stroll goes into the new season as the first Canadian to race in the sport since Jacques Villeneuve left the sport in 2006.

Rob Smedley

Head of Performance Engineering Rob Smedley will be joining the Williams celebrations on Sunday 15th January. Smedley spent eight years as a race engineer to Felipe Massa at Ferrari, before they both moved to the Grove based team in 2014.

Claire Williams

Claire Williams, deputy team principal of Williams Martini Racing, is confirmed to attend on Sunday 15th January. She will be taking to the Autosport Stage on the final day of the event to discuss the 2016 season, what’s next for Williams and the future of F1. The appearance comes as Williams celebrates its 40th anniversary with an interactive feature, which is set to be a key attraction at the show.

A host of BTCC Champions

Gordon Shedden

Adding the 2016 British Touring Car Championship to his name. Gordon Shedden is a three time Champion who will be joining us at the show. Shedden who currently drives for Halfords Yuasa Racing has 45 wins, 11 poles and 48 fastest laps to add to his 2012, 2015 and 2016 British Touring Car Championship titles.

Matt Neal

Winning the BTCC Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2011 Matt Neal has been in the sport since 1991. Currently driving for Honda Racing, Neal has driven for a whole host of names including, Pyramid Motorsport, Team Mazda and VX Racing to name a few.

Andrew Jordan

Starting off in Rally Cross before moving to the British Touring Car Championship, Andrew Jordan added his name to the list of champions by winning the 2013 BTCC Championship. Jordan has raced for Eurotech, VX Racing, Pirtek, Triple Eight and Motorbase Performance before announcing his move to West Surrey Racing for the 2017 season.

Colin Turkington

Double British Touring Car Champion Colin Turkington has been in the sport since 2002. After a short stint in WTCC, Turkington returned back to the BTCC in 2013, winning the championship a year after returning. Turkington has 41 wins to his name and is currently driving for Silverline Subaru BMR.

Allan McNish

Three time Le Mans winner Allan McNish has been announced that he'll be joining us at the show in January. McNish has raced in a number of series, including 16 starts in Formula 1. He won the 2013 FIA World Endurance Car Championship, and has also been a part of the BBC F1 and BBC Radio 5 Live team commentating on Formula 1.

He's known for his action packed adventures including car rallies, road trips and exclusive shoots. From hypercars to road cars he reviews them all on his famous YouTube channel and other social media pages.
