The often complex requirements and very tight lead-times rely upon our Technical Team and in-house tooling department to react and innovate to fulfill requirements on demand. The changing FIA regulations ensure that engineers throughout the supply chain of this industry must keep up with evolving priorities whilst maintaining safety, comfort, race duration and a balance with the financial pressures also now facing these industries. Common requirements for us of the motorsport sector include rubber to metal bonded parts, anti-vibration products, sealing products, along with attributes such as dust exclusion, light weight, and aerodynamic geometries. Material requirements often include high temperature, high tear resistance, low friction, oil and fuel resistance and dual hardnesses. High-specification materials such as Viton®, Aflas®, Kevlar®, fluorosilicone and perfluoro-elastomers are also called for to answer requirements alongside more standard components; one of our key areas of expertise is in working with the customer to establish when a particular specification is imperative and when it is not, to ensure the best balance between performance and cost is maintained. We supply into the motosport arena at all levels of supply chain, including companies specifically dedicated to research and development, suppliers of engines, gearboxes, chassis, electronic components, hosing, composites, suspensions, shock absorbers and springs. We also supply into manufacturers and assemblers involved in Formula 1, Rally, BTC, WTC, Classic Cars, Classic Bikes, restoration, motocross, sprint, superbikes, MotoGP, Nascar, Indycar, Dakar Rally, Le Mans, Formula 3000, DTM, Top Tin Racing, Drag racing and truck racing. We offer a mobile roadshow/training session for entry-level designers into the industry to empower them to make decisions best suited to the application when working with rubber materials.
