The world of motorsport is varied and far-reaching; from Karting to the thrills and spills of the rally stages: from the determination and endurance of the Le Mans 24 hours to the glitz and glamour of the F1 race circuits. Dreams are shattered or fulfilled at the press of the brake, championships won or lost on the change of a tyre and all of this exhilaration, excitement and danger is captured and brought to you by the imagination and creativity of the motorsport photographer. I first began combining my love of motorsport with my hobby of photography over 35 years ago, when I bought my first Pentax camera and set off to take some snap shots at nearby Donington Park. Many race meetings and astronomical film processing costs later, I converted my spare room into a dark room. Many hours spent in total darkness, developing and printing my own pictures and seeing the exciting images come to life only served to fuel my passion and I finally turned professional over 10 years ago when I switched to digital and fully embraced the technology. Not your average 9-5 job, the life of a motor sport photographer frequently involves working endless hours, both day and night. This can be tough and tiring, often in blistering heat or torrential rain, but always exciting and satisfying. Not only is this my career, it is my passion, where motivation is never a problem, especially if the “office” is a race track. My work has been published in most of the UK newspapers as well as many magazines including Auto sport, Motorsport News and F1 magazine. I also work on assignments for British and French motor sport picture agencies. My aim is to create work that is genuine, unusual and inventive whilst striving to deliver a variety of images that are candid but imaginative. I even throw in a few traditional shots for good measure. It is often said that your website is your shop window so please feel free to come in and have a look around. My galleries will show you my own unique style; one, which I hope, will appeal to you. If you like what you see or have any questions about the services I offer, please do not hesitate to contact me.
