Autosport International is excited to announce today that it is working with the Department for International Trade (DIT), to provide match-funded financial support for eligible SMEs to exhibit at Europe's largest motorsport show next January.
Autosport International confirmed late last month that the show would be back on 12-15 January 2023, returning to The NEC for the first time in three years. Representing the first show since the UK's formal departure from Europe and the first since the emergence of the global Covid pandemic that has significantly impacted all industries across the globe.
"Autosport International has always been about bringing together the combined personnel, skills and knowledge from across the motorsport and automotive sectors to network, learn & discover new trends and critically do business together. The 2023 show represents a massive opportunity to kick-start the rebuilding process, look forward and drive into the future.", says Ben Whibley, Director of Events, Autosport International.
"The value of the show for attendees is its exhibitors and the cross-fertilisation that comes from being in the same space, and the application of advanced engineering technologies that can cross sectors from automotive to motorsport, to aeronautical. The no.1 focus for the 2023 show is on delivering the return of the much-loved physical show whilst maximising the recovery to the motorsport and automotive sectors."
David Ryan, International Trade Adviser, adds, "the UK is home to and plays a pivotal role in these industries, with excellent knowledge and skills on display. This offering enables us to support and encourage more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to get back on their feet post-Brexit, post-pandemic world, the opportunity to punch above their weight and showcase themselves to an international audience.
The Department for International Trade is offering eligible companies match-funded grants worth up to £9000 to support the costs of attending Autosport International. To apply, businesses need to have a minimum turnover of £0.5m and demonstrate a product or service with export appeal and a rationale for how attendance at the show will support their export objectives.
The scheme is also suitable for eligible businesses that attend Autosport Awards and Motorsport Days Live.
