What is the British GT Championship all about you may ask? Well, as you might tell from the luxury marquees and prestigious motorcars, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars but more normally referred to as GT3, this is very grand, high-end motor racing series. Its rules are tight and maintained by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile for grand tourer racing cars that are designed and built for competitive use in a number of international racing championships. Several makes and models, such as sports cars from Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche, race against each other. Yet, models from high-luxury brands, like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley, also contest the rounds, with surprising and tremendous success. Our two-car Bentley team comprises of two drivers per car; Chester-born talent, the super-fast Seb Morris with his team-mate racing ace Rick Parfitt Jnr in one car and the astounding duology of Ian Loggie and Callum MacLeod in the other. Seb and Rick were only a few Championship points away from winning the coveted British GT Championship outright in 2016. However, it is ‘all guns blazing’ from Oulton Park, the opening event for what is intended to be a triumphant 2017 season. Alongside them is our stunning Team Parker Porsche GT4 driven by our breathtaking paring of Nick Jones and Scott Malvern.
