Established in 2001 RallycrossWorld.com is an independent website that offers an authentic view covering all aspects of rallycross. While celebrating speed on the track, it seeks to deliver a considered view covering the wide range of events, teams and drivers in rallycross. It has a deep respect for history and a great enthusiasm for the future. Created for ITV’s World of Sport programme, rallycross first took place at Lydden Hill on February 4th 1967. Over the intervening five decades rallycross has grown from TV concept to a fully fledged motor sport and, at its highest level, is one of the five disciplines afforded World Championship status by the FIA. There are national championship and amateur participation events in many countries around the world, but the original vision of short, multi-car races on mixed surfaces holds true.
