Known as “No Limits, Texas,” the 1.5-mile super speedway located in Fort Worth plays host to two races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series as well as one in the Verizon IndyCar Series. Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage unveils a major capital improvement project consisting of a complete repave, construction of an extensive drainage system and re-profiling of the speedway’s oval configuration. Turns 1 and 2 of Texas Motor Speedway see a reduction in the banking, going from 24 to 20 degrees. An expansive French drainage system along the frontstretch and backstretch along with a new layer of asphalt over the existing pavement will allow for quicker drying conditions.
